The Centre for Strategic Energy and Resources has an International Advisory Panel (IAP) that provides advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management of CSER on strategic matters related to its vision and mission. The ambit of the IAP covers CSER’s direction, the relevance and impact of its work in enhancing energy security and sustainability, and the impact of its outreach and collaborative programmes. As a group, the IAP will meet physically during CSER’s Annual General Meeting.

Mark is the former head of New Energies at Shell and has deep experience of the technologies and business models which need to scale up in the transition to a net zero carbon economy, including renewables, energy storage, hydrogen, biofuels, nature-based solutions and CCS. He serves on the board of several companies developing and deploying low carbon technologies and is a senior advisor to a number of companies and investment funds. He is the founder of Low Carbon Advisors, an advisory firm based in Singapore that helps companies, governments and investors navigate the path to net zero. He is also the co-owner of a vineyard in South East England producing award winning wines and chairs a wildlife conservation charity in South Africa. He has a BSc in Psychology from University College London, a MSc in Environmental Policy and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
